11/21/2023 0 Comments Back quiver huntingThe cat quiver is good for a few things one is if it is raining thats the best quiver to protect your feather fletching. I can control where they are for brush and they are right infront of me when I need them. I have both a cat quiver and a selway bow Quiver, I also have a cheif side stalker quiver from Jack Bowers. I dumped mine after hunting with a buddie who was wearing one and I could easily see him even though he was sneaking along slowly. When you walk the arrow fletching waves like a flag, even with a cover on the fletching it shouts "here I am". I do have to say the only drawback I can see is when you go to sit down with cat quiver on, it sticks down a little and makes it hard to sit with it on.įor those considering a hip quiver, my experience is don't. Getting arrows out of the cat quiver is no problem IF you are careful. Here in the early bow season it's sooo hot and dry, I wear mesh camo over shorts, wear my cat quiver II and try not to scrap anything. Mostly I back pack hunt and wear a Shuh pack and carry my bow with quiver attached(or rifle depending on my draw luck). I too am 6'4" and have tried bow quivers, back quivers, hip quivers and the cat quiver puts the arrows behind my body profile. I have had little problem when I take it slow and try not to make any noise, which is the ultimate goal of bow hunting.
